Completely feeling you 🥰
Yes but what I found helped was the free baby classes run by the children centre. Check if you have these in your area. I’ve signed up for baby massage, rhyme time, baby musician etc which I think helps break the day (as it takes time to prepare and travel despite the class only being 1 hour) and you get to meet and chat to other mums, so it’s something different to do rather than just staying at home. And best part is they’re free. I would defo recommend :)

@Steph thank you I'm trying to go to the centre but my little one is colic and always there's some issues. It's hard to adjust and even go anywhere on time. I signed up for Water Babies but that starts in September.
hey!! i am not on maternity leave until the end of august, but would be down to grab a coffee with you and your little one or something if youd like!😊🩷
Hey, if you would like a guide on the support available in the post partum period including for colic, you can get it here https://childcarenavigator.co.uk/availablesupportguide Summer can be the hardest time because a lot of the classes are shut for the holidays. Only a few weeks to go and then everything will reopen
I definitely had to give up doing laundry that day or the house being spotless, and take time for me. So I met a handful of people in my area off peanut, and went to museums and did long walks and coffees etc. Through them I met other women they’d met on peanut and I found a couple of them I’m still close with now. I also have no family here and my husband is working full time. This time I have a second so it’s even more but once a week I find time to go out for coffee or a walk with another local mum. It really helps. But I really really miss my family and that makes me feel alone if I think too much about it. If you want to meet up centrally and go to a museum or something that could be fun! We are opposite parts of London
@anni that sounds nice😊
@Jaimmie I get you. I love cleaning and my flat has been dirty for quite a while now, I'm trying to do bits but my girl always needs attention right after I start😔 would love to meet up one day I'll message you privately.
Thank you everyone for your comments and support. If you want to meet up message me and we can arrange😁 I'm in East but can try go other parts🥰
I hear you! I felt exactly the same with my first baby and now second. The free classes at the Children’s Centre do help, but sometimes you just don’t have the energy. Swimming lessons were what got me out of the house the most with my first one :)
