I have a 9 month old after 7 years of IVF and multiple losses so can totally relate. I'm not going to lie I spent 9 months constantly worrying, all I can advise is do what you need to do to reassure yourself, in later months I had extra checks with midwife to have a listen in and did a lot of visits worrying about movement to triage. Never feel a burden, everyone is there to help but try and enjoy it!! Congratulations 🎊 xx
@Siobhan hey how many transfers did you have to do for it to work? I’m four years in now 😩
My IVF boy just turned 7 months and I think it wasn't until after the 20 week scan that i felt it was real! Congratulations
@Samantha ah thank you, congratulations to you too! 🥰
@Siobhan congratulations! Thank you for the advice, that’s really helpful and lovely to hear that everyone’s there to help 🩷 Nice to hear that I’m not alone with the constant worrying, it’s difficult as my partner is at the excited stage but I’m not! X
@Lucie we were really lucky that it happened first time for us! We went privately in the end, with a mild IVF protocol with ABC IVF. They’ve been fantastic to be fair. Who are you with? I’m sorry to hear you’re four years into it 😔 it’s a really draining process emotionally and physically isn’t it xx
@Dani congratulations! 🥂 I was hoping it would feel real when the scan looked like a baby and not a blob, which it did on our 10 week scan! We have our 12 week, and a 15 week scan booked in - so hopefully will feel real soon 😊
Congratulations! I’m 11 weeks tomorrow with my IVF baby. First time too 🤞🏼 I feel incredibly lucky but I also understand what you mean about it not feeling real. I’ve waited so long for this which leaves me a little on edge/worried. We’ve had 2 scans so far and both have been amazing - the baby was moving around in the most recent one. Feel free to message me directly xx
Currently 8 weeks pregnant with my second IVF baby, and I can tell you that it will always feel surreal. Even now with a sassy 18 month old talking away at me, running all over the place, there are moments I sit and think like wait, how, are you sure? 😂 I think we are very overprotective of acknowledging that excitement early days because of all the extra ‘just in cases and what ifs’ but it’s happening, it’s real, enjoy it. I still remember being in scans like…oh yeah that’s a picture of inside me, that’s me you’re scanning not someone else and you’re just playing a video 🤷♀️😂
@Chloe oh sorry I saw you said you did ivf for 7 years so sounded like you had multiple goes! Yeh it’s just so so hard!
Congratulations 🥳 I’m 8 weeks pregnant from IVF. Have had 1 scan and another in 3 weeks 🫶🏼 How are you feeling
Hey Chloe, I’m currently 11+3 with an IVF bub. First round for us, we too are shocked and over the moon, it’s all so surreal! Mega Congrats. I know how hard the journey is so really happy for you xx
Not in the March 2025 group as I've already had my baby but congratulations!! My little one was ivf
