Not at all. I'd be trying again now if I could but I've got to wait for my c-section to heal properly first. Im also 37 so want another sooner rather than later! My sister also has 2 that are 11 months apart and they get in so so well due to the similarity in age. Do what's right for you and your family! Wishing you all the best for your next transfer 🤞💕 x
I’ve heard so many stories of couples finding it easier to conceive after ivf so I think you should go for it. I think it’s because you’re very fertile after having the first one ❤️
@Stephanie Gambino unfortunately it’s impossible for us to do so, so we have to have ivf again x
We have an IVF baby too! We are deciding if we want to try again or not after a very traumatic birth and I was told not to get pregnant for 2 years to allow my c section to heal fully. My husband is also older than me and I'm already 35 but we do have 3 embryos in the freezer so to speak, I'm very torn.
@Nikki I’m sorry to hear you had a traumatic birth! I too had an awful birth but it was vaginal and I’m fully healed in that sense and being given the go ahead. We are the same! We also have 3 embryos in the freezer! It is hard but you have to do what’s best for you and most importantly your health ❤️ xx
Ah that's amazing!! Fingers crossed for you! Can I ask was it easy to get back in with your fertility clinic because you'd already been through once so to speak and had already been "on the books" or did you have to go back through a referral process? Xx
@Nikki No, very easy. We had to pay for the storage of our embryos back in January so we are still ‘in touch’ as it were. We also have to pay for this transfer as first round of ivf was all nhs x
I’m in my 40’s and our baby is IVF, we’ve just made the decision to go again and we’ll do it soon as we’re not getting any younger. I’m expecting it to be super hard with two if we’re successful but I won’t be listening to any ‘noise’ we might get from friends and family. Good luck xx
That's good to know! Yeah we had to pay for our storage in June, we couldn't get NHS funding because my husband had children previously so we paid self funded for our previous round. X
@Kate Yes absolutely! After I first mentioned that we were thinking about it, I’ve now decided not to tell them we have actually started the process as it’s stressful enough without listening to other peoples opinions. 🙈 I actually have my internal scan and bloods tomorrow , then hopefully will be good to start meds on my next cycle 🤞🏻. Lots of luck to you too ❤️ x
@Kate good for you!! It always fascinates me how many people actually end up going through IVF when we start talking about it. My husband is 53, he's happy to try again but he's worried about his age though mentally he's still a teenager some days I swear! Xx
Definitely go for it! I’m now 43 with an 8 year old and almost 10 month old. It took us years of losses and ivf/transfers for baby no 2. I wish you all the luck in the world ❤️
Aw I’m sorry to hear that but I hope everything goes well. Praying for baby no 2 for you ❤️❤️
No, go for it! What works for you might not work for others, but it’s for your family. Wish you the best of luck 🌈 ❤️
Not mad at all! You've got to do what's right for you ☺️
