I’m 32 weeks + 4 days and I just had a follow up scan for this reason and my placenta had moved completely out of the way since our last scan which was at 22 weeks.
i had my 32 week scan and its still low lying so they have rebooked me in for another scan at 36 weeks x
@Lauren how do you feel about that? This is what I’m more anxious/worried about I think, not actually being able to birth plan or get any answers and just continue waiting 🥺
@Phoebe i feel like ive been coming to terms with a c-section from the 20 week mark when they said it was low lying. i do really hate the unknown of the fact i could have him at 37 weeks or naturally at 42 weeks but ive put a birth plan in place incase i can have a natural birth and then preparing as if he was coming at 37 just incase
@Lauren it sounds like you’re ready and you’re taking the best approach, thank you for sharing 🥹
i cant really find the answer of how likely it is that it moves from 32 to 36 weeks but i actually think id struggle more with the news it has moved as ive been preparing myself for so many weeks that he could be coming early via c-section
@Lauren im the same, had my 32 week scan and still hasn’t moved so they booked another one at 36 weeks and also an appointment with a consultant at 34 weeks. But the same as you I’ve been preparing for a c section from when we found out at 20 weeks. As long as baby gets here safely that’s all that matters x
I’m also the same, completely covering at 20 weeks and they thought it had moved at 32 weeks but then did a vaginal ultrasound and it hasn’t moved at all! I definitely just came to terms with a c section straight away but didn’t realise until last week that they would want to deliver at 37 weeks. Likewise I think it would be strange to be told at 36 weeks that it hasn’t moved and then would have to wait until 39/40!
Mine was completely covering my cervix at 20 weeks but at 32 weeks it had moved so yours may still move!
