@Jade I know throwing is normal for little ones this age, but it’s just everything haha and if it’s not being thrown it’s in the mouth !
I think it’s just a stage! Milo used to do this up until really recent and now he actually plays with his toys and only throws balls
They don’t really play at this age. We may see the emergence of it but they are more happy exploring, banging things, moving things etc. Independent play starts around 18 months and that can just be for minutes at a time. That’s from the research I’ve done anyway but there’s always outliers. Mine grabs a car and moves it along the floor for a minute, then to a book, throws it on the floor. Walks over to his play kitchen and pretends to drink from a mug. Then he’ll come to me to be picked up. Rinse repeat! I can definitely see some play starting and it’s mostly in the garden or park where he can explore so we do that pretty much all day everyday
@Emma I don’t mean play as in like proper full on independent role play imagination using everything correctly as I know from working with children this comes later and develops, but at least hoping for some play to start to emerge lf you know what I mean. just looking for some solidarity as aghhh to the throwing constantly 😝
I know what you mean hun! I buy a new toy and he just throws it down the stairs or something 😂
@Emma haha 😝
Yup, I get so bored of her not actually playing 😂🤦🏼♀️ she just moves things around room to room and I tidy behind her x
Could have wrote this myself, she has zero interest in toys and just wants to remove things from the cupboards x
I just came on here to write the exact same post! My baby just throws everything! With force! Glad it’s not just us 🙊
