@Charlotte appreciate that but i’m just trying to see how far it’ll get me it’s my choice and what i want so thanks
anyone have any ideas ?
Try taekwondo they teach on respect, loyalty, honesty etc my 4 year old is not that bad we did it mostly to get him away from tv
@Brittany We have been doing a prize jar, similar to the link below! Every morning our son has a chance to earn a wooden candy, and every night before bed. To earn a candy, he needs to use gentle hands, feet, and words, and not need any timeout. It has provided an incredible temperament difference! Once he fills the jar he can pick a big toy ($10-$20). If he loses his candy for the morning or evening and bad behaviors continue, we can also take candy out. It does take a while to earn something big, so it's not a huge burden. 50Pcs Stars Magnetic Reward Jar Classroom, Star Reward Jar Personalized Reward Jar Reward Jars for Kids Behavior Management Classroom Tools https://a.co/d/enZZLEV
I will also add, rewards *can* be a slippery slope, but in my opinion it definitely depends on the kid! Ours is not incented much by timeouts. We have tried fining him piggy bank money, taking toys, donating favorite toys, lost privileges. None of that works, and we personally choose to not spank or flick Reinforcing positive behavior has been a huge benefit for us. Every kid is different!!!
@Jess I highly agree! They can be a downfall. So maybe do a weekly reward system if your kid does it all week with no fighting you tooth and nail. At the end of the week can get a reward to go out to a new park or something. That’s what I do with my 4 yr old boy. But I know what may work for mine, may not for yours.
I have a 4 years old he’s a very sweet boy but also stubborn he’s is the spectrum But you can even tell. I would love to get connected on a Saturday for them to play together that may help both of them
I use one it has good behavior putting toys away being good at school eating all his food no fit throwing
Rewards charts are a slippery slope. What's the reward? What are you going to do when a sticker or small toy stops working to get the desired behavior? Check out BigLittleFeelings on Instagram for some ideas that may work better at correcting the undesired behaviors
