@Lindsey Omg yesss! We do shapes at least once a week as well as letters and colors. She is almost 2.5 so should I start introducing more complex worksheets such as the tracing or is she too young?
Tracing would be a great start! Set expectations low, just the introduction will be exciting. You can also play copying games - you draw something, she tries to copy. Or you ask her to close her eyes, you draw something and she has to guess what you drew. It’s seriously great that you started this with her. I teach kindergarten and you can tell the difference between a child with gradual exposure to things vs no exposure at all. You’re making it a bit simpler for your baby to transition to school.
@Lindsey Awe this made me smile🥹🫶🏽thank you so so much it means a lot. I do plan to homeschool her but in the sense that we will not be at home much, I really try to take the Montessori approach with her. Thank you again and thank you for more great ideas to practice with her!
YESSSSS do it!!!!!!!
That’s amazing! If you haven’t done so already… familiar people, animals, letters, drawing shapes, squiggle lines, big and small… keep it up!
