Toddler entertainment !

Any mums of 2 under 3 have tips and ideas for toddler entertainment? Bit of a background, my little boy has been at nursery pretty much full time since he was 8 months old. I used to work from home with him 3 afternoons a week and we’ve been managing fine with keeping him entertained for a few hours. I’ve had our 2nd baby in July and we’re now reducing his days at nursery to 4 days a week then in October to only 2 mornings. As he’s been there for so long, hes used to being busy all the time and he gets bored very easily at home. (I honestly dread him being at home for more than 2 days at the weekend 🫣) I’m trying to put together a list of things we can do to keep busy everyday so if anyone has anything they like to do with their toddler I’d be grateful for ideas! His first day at home is tomorrow and I’ve not had a full day with both babies on my own yet (or gone anywhere on my own with both of them apart from nursery drop off/pick up) so I’m very anxious how that’ll go! He loves being outside (bit tricky with autumn weather) cooking, baking, arts and crafts etc

I have a 2 year old and baby too and we tend to try and go for walks when possible, baby in a baby wrap and we take the buggy for my 2 year old incase he doesn’t want to walk. Inside the house we do painting, drawing, pretending to cook/prepare food. And my boy loves his books too so we get a few books read during the day. Also we can’t always afford the swimming pool so we make a fake swimming pool in our bath and play with a load of swim toys. (Also makes bathing him easier lol)

Not sure how the weather will be where you live in Oct but I assume cold pretty soon after. But outdoor time is what wears my little one out. And pool time. He’s only 22 months though and his attention span for activities is not more than 5 min tops lol. It’s so tiring. Maybe your boy can enjoy activities a little longer. Go on pintrest, they have a ton of entertaining ideas.

Just try and stick to a routine and get some fresh air during the day. If my 2 year old is having like a day where he needs more attention I wack a couple of different cereals into a tray or on his high chair put some dinosaurs or animals with it. And let him go wild he eats it and stops the cereal and chats to the animals. Also I do like breakfast with ipad then he chills books, iPad. We go out for a few hours have packed lunch or lunch out then come back play in garden. He plays with his toys etc and then tea. We chill after tea so he gets his iPad if he wants it or he can play with toys then when he’s a bit more irritated I add in stuff like play dough, painting, messy play. Sometimes I just turn on the tap low and sit him on the counter and let him play with the water
