I barely did tummy time with my first as he just HATED it. In terms of activities, I do baby classes like baby sensory or Sing & Sign, and when we’re at home I just tend to talk to her or sing songs. I think it’s quite difficult to do much at this age and I think the biggest thing is interaction with them, so I’m less bothered about WHAT we’re doing and more bothered about making sure I’m actively spending time with her ie put the phone down, TV off, give her my full focus, lots of eye contact and facial expressions etc. To be totally honest though I have a toddler this time around so she gets far less attention than he did as a baby and there’s not a great deal I can do about that 😂
My little boy absolutely hates it too but I get the odd minute or two in when i can. Other than he's on our chest as it's easier and we use black and white cards and go to baby sensory. Like the above as long as I'm interacting with him in some way then I'm taking that as a win. My little boy loves stories and his play mat so I make sure to get down with him and assist him to roll into tummy time (which he doesn't immediately hate)
I put mine on my chest and let her do what she wants, she loves it! Also I put music on and sing to her, we got rattles, and I put on baby sensory on YouTube and she loves it , she watches it between 5-15 mins and she does her happy noises, we walk around the house and I just chat to her, I’m sure she’s bored of me though 😂😂
Wearing baby in a sling and having baby lie on your chest or upright in your arms/over your shoulder counts as tummy time if he prefers that? Once he gets used to that, we use black and white cards or a rattle to distract him when he’s doing it solo, which is rare 😅 your baby is so bloody cute!!! 🥰
