@Polina love that!!! Thank you for sharing! 🤍
Through meditation and breathing most definitely and positive thoughts! Just remember we were made for this. Our bodies were made for this and will do what it needs to give birth. I haven’t done it before but unmedicated natural birth is what I’m doing this pregnancy. I have a high pain tolerance but I tend to always tell myself whenever I go through any kind of pain that it’s only temporary and I’ll get through it! I’ll be following this post for some extra tips 🥰 You got this!!!
@Cierra thanks lovely! We got this! Love the tip
I had the same intentions with my birth. My first labor was way different and ended in a C-section due to asynclitic presentation. I just had an unmedicated VBAC last night. I could/should have done more prep work but what helped the most was listening to deep relaxation tracks on Spotify. I personally enjoyed Gabrielle Targett the most. I used these almost nightly starting around 37 weeks and listened to them on repeat during labor mixed with some music (like good songs too. Not just relaxing stuff). Do what feels good for you. Not what you think ppl should do. And rotate between keep moving and taking breaks. The breathing kept me sane through to 8cm and then I lost it during transition and pushing. It was really painful and hard but I believe had I had the epidural and been bedbound I wouldn’t have been able to do the spinning baby stretches and movement to keep the contractions progressing.
I wanted to go unmedicated with my first but caved at 7cm and got a failed epidural. He was out within 90 mins and if I had known that’s all I had left I would’ve held out on the epidural. I’m hopeful I can make it this time now that I have a better understanding of how much quicker it goes after transition. Good luck!
Good job on getting ready physically!! I’m also doing the same thing like seen regularly physiotherapist and osteopath etc etc doing perineal massages Mentally I’m back to meditations, visualizations, keeping calm and breathing. I did hypnobirthing course where they tell you how to breathe through pain like square breathing or inhale for 4 exhale for 7 type of thing and I’m practicing it now especially if I have a contraction or a cramp!
