Do you have to have high blood pressure to have preeclampsia?

I’m showing all the signs of preeclampsia, just not the high blood pressure part so my midwife just wants to “monitor” me. I’m getting swollen hands, feet and face. Starred vision, nausea, tiredness, shortness of breath after every small task and even my speech is slurry which is concerning me.

I didn’t show high blood pressure when I had preeclampsia with my first, I had swelling around 37/38 weeks and then had my son at 38+4 when I was only diagnosed in the hospital whilst having him. If you are showing all other symptoms you’re doing the best thing being monitored! Hope everything is okay x

No you definitely don’t. Like above I didn’t have high blood pressure or protein in my urine. Everything else but that. It was bloods saying my liver wasn’t good that flagged mind up eventually x

Keep a very close eye on this. I’ve been convinced for weeks I was heading down this road but my blood pressure was fluctuating massively. I’m now 39 weeks and my blood results are showing signs of pre eclampsia starting. Trust your gut
