I had a double transfer that ended in a chemical. And then I had a single transfer that ended in a missed miscarriage. And then I had a single transfer that is now my 13 month old. I didn’t change anything. I honestly believe it’s down to the embryo. I just made sure I ate reasonably and followed the eat/drink like pregnant rules. None of my embryos have been tested.
Hey lovely. I had 2 PGT tested embryos - first transfer had a missed early miscarriage. Before the second I had full immunology tests and got put on steroids, blood thinners and Intralipid for the second transfer because of the results but had a chemical pregnancy. We were preparing for another egg retrieval and the month we were due to start meds I found out I was pregnant naturally. First time I had ever conceived naturally in 4 years. Everyone is of course different and what we chose to do in the lead up to that next egg retrieval (which led to natural conception) was based on the many tests we’d had done over the years and advice in It Starts With the Egg. Me and my husband both added antioxidants to our supplement routine - ubiquinol, NAC and alpha lipoic acid. We also added probiotics - I had my gut health tested and took what was recommended from the test results to rebalance things. We removed plastics from our kitchen and fragrance from our skincare and cleaning
(I even changed my phone case). I also added a vaginal probiotic for myself. I added magnesium to my supplement routine and had a course of CBT which helped me learn ways to keep my nervous system calm. Meditation and breathing exercises became a key part of my routine. We focused on a diet of nutrient dense whole foods (not strict). I got tested for food intolerances and cut gluten and sugar down in my diet (based on my test results). I had also gained a little weight a while before to bring my bmi from 18.5 to 20. Sorry for the length of all this! I’m sending you so much strength for your ongoing journey xxx
@Emily can I ask how you tested your gut? What probiotics you took for your gut and vaginal? X
@Lucie of course - I used Healthpath (UK) it’s not cheap but I was really impressed. I was recommended to take Lactobacillus rhamnosus gg and G.O.S. The vaginal probiotic I chose was Optibac for women x
Yes I had 3 ivf cycles and 7 transfers in total. The first 2 cycles/6 transfers we had 3 early miscarriages and 1 chemical. The very last one we did PGT, added steroids & intralipids (as they found some immunological issues) and it stuck & became my beautiful baby boy.
