@Sara oh bless them. Just want to do all I can to keep my baby safe. And yes that’s a good idea 🤣
@Molly just politely tell them “ no petting “ But seriously it does get annoying. But your baby’s super safe don’t worry
I’d feel very uncomfortable if my friends started shaking or poking my tummy. I would personally ask them not to do that because it’s an odd thing to do and it would be make me hella uncomfortable. 😂 I’ve definitely had a few people randomly touch my tummy and I’ve just simply said “what are you doing?” out of shock 😳 which makes them realise that it’s not okay to just randomly touch another human being without their permission, even when they are pregnant. I’ve had a few people ask and I’ve said “yes but gently” and they generally tend to just put their hand to my tummy. I’ve only been poked or shaken by professionals for health purposes or to move him around for a scan so we could see everything. It does disrupt them if they are sleeping though - so, I personally wouldn’t be okay with waking my baby unnecessarily (got a lot of growing left to do) imagine someone waking you you up just to make you kick! 😊
Me & my husband sit there and give her a little poke to see her move and stuff I wouldn’t of thought it causes any issues? X
Thank you so much everyone for your advice and answers massive appreciate it ! 🩷
Definitely will be ok, I have a 2 year old that is very energetic and literally bounces over me and baby belly!! I also have a little poke sometimes to say hello to baby! But if you feel uncomfortable just politely ask people not to touch x
My dogs walk all over mine 😂 (miniature dachshunds not Great Danes!) it’s when they catch my boob, that hurts!
My sonographer at the 20 week scan was shaking my bump like billy o to try and get the baby to move, and pushing in quite hard with the scanner. Really puts into perspective about how careful you need to be!
No I wouldn’t have thought so. My 3 kids don’t leave my belly alone. I’ve told them I’m going to get a sign that says “ no petting “ 😂
