Flying

Has anyone took a trip at 34-35 weeks pregnant? Thinking about taking a 4 hour flight to Florida but I’ve never flown the pregnant…

Can you swing a week or 2 earlier? Some of the airlines cut off at 34 weeks. Definitely ask your doctor. I have some work travel in October and my doctor advised nothing after 34 weeks or be prepared to deliver in the air or not at your home hospital.

I asked my doctor and she said to make sure I wear TED socks and getting up and walking.. I should see the airlines cut off!

I would check with the airlines most will let you travel domestically up to 36 weeks but may need a form filed out by your provider. I’ve been traveling for work most of my pregnancy but my doctor has advised that I cut travel down around 32 weeks

If you have any risks for preterm labour I’d skip unless you wouldn’t mind delivering in your destination 😬— many airlines require a doctors note after 34 weeks sometimes it’s 35 varies by airline… We were going to go around 33 weeks to Maine (but we decided against it bc I wanted to go specifically for hiking & camping earlier in the summer but we couldn’t bc at that time we were moving & then having crisis with doctors and having to change providers etc) we’re hoping we can go next yr either with our son or leave him with relatives (his are walking distance - mine are 2-3 days plane ✈️ travel away)

My last flight will be at 30 wks. Definitely recommend wearing compression socks & booking an aisle seat for ease of getting up & moving around, as long as your dr clears you.

Thank you guys! I think I am going to wait until baby comes!
