Books

I’m looking for suggestions for some longer story books to read with my daughter. Ideally board books so she doesn’t rip it to shreds.

Julia Donaldson ones are great and they have board books of them. Monkey puzzle, What the ladybird heard are great for little ones. My son also loves Room on the broom, Stick Man, Tiddler and Squash and a Squeeze.

I second the Julia Donaldson you can get some of them in board book versions my lg loves the usbourne sound and light books which are a little longer, spot the dog has non flap books which are longer stories, I got a board book of lion witch and the wardrobe and labyrinth which she’s bringing to me to read a lot more, loads of new Peter rabbit books to. You could go to the library and borrow some just to find a new range to

The tiger who came to tea 🧡 a favourite here! Oh no George is a fun book too.

Eric Carle board books, Sound books from Usborne, Lift the flap books , That's not my books

The very hungry caterpillar, The cat in the hat (or any Dr Seuss books.) Also Tiddler and Meg and Mog

Hungry caterpillar, the jellycat books have always been a favourite and bluey have episodes in the board books too ☺️

Second the hungry caterpillar and monkey puzzle my boy loves these, we have lots of peppa pig flap books and bluey hard books that he loves also

If you go on Amazon and look at Teacher’s Picks/Book Trust recommendations for their age, it comes up with loads of fantastic recommendations. I’ve saved a few that I’ll be buying for her 🥰 I also second Oh No George (we’ve had to hide it because I was getting sick of it lol) & The Hungry Caterpillar. She also loves Dear Zoo.

Big fans of julia donaldson here too. Although her stickman obsession is getting out of control now.

Peter rabbit hard back books are really good, my little boy loves them
