I was thinking the same thing. I have signed up to a Sing and Sign babies class for when my little one will be 5 weeks old, which said suitable from birth to 6 months. I messaged the class teacher, she said it will definitely be appropriate. She said the class is as much for Mums to meet other mums and to learn songs/games to play with little one at home, so it's okay if she sleeps through most the class.
I think the classes are as much for you to meet people as for her so anytime you feel ready go for it.
I started baby massage last week at four weeks. I think it’s just nice to break up the day and meet some new people ☺️
We started at 2 weeks, but all the classes are free and a great way to get out the house, chat to others with young babies and get tips. We do sensory, massage, weigh and play, and bounce and rhyme. He's now 6 weeks and more alert and just loves watching everything and every one
We started going to baby group yesterday, she’s 3 weeks old today. I don’t pay for any classes this young as she would just sleep through them, my local family centres have lovely baby and toddler groups so we attend those. Some churches have baby groups as well for £2-3. It’s more for me to get out of the house and to meet other moms
I started going to a weekly infant feeding team thing on day 5. We started our first official ones this week - mum & baby fitness Monday and baby sensory yesterday. Sing & Sign starts next Thursday, and swimming will start Fridays early October. In my area they book up quick so I made sure to sign up early for the fall terms! Otherwise would have to wait months for the next term
I started yesterday at 5 weeks but she’s my second, with my first I was a bit more anxious to take him and waited a bit longer. She slept most of the class but I enjoyed it, just do what feels right for you xxx
Sorry I'm a bit slow here - where is everyone finding these free classes?
@Djena council, library, church etc
With my first I started classes from 3 months when he was more alert
