Travel tips or must haves?

We are leaving next week for a three week long trip to the east coast and Europe. Any travel tips? Must haves for long flights and car rides? Advice on how to adjust sleep schedules? Insights about stuff you thought you needed but never used? So far we have a guava lotus travel crib, slumber pod, and portable white noise machine. Plan to start having our 7.5mo nap in it during the day (instead of his crib) for at least one of his naps. And then try to have him sleep in it overnight a few times before we leave. We try to time car rides to coincide with naps here but no idea if it will work with big time zone shifts. Planning to use our doona carseat/stroller and bring a carrier for the flight and walking around. I also got an inflatable pillow to support breastfeeding on the flight and stops in the car. Temps could range from 50s to 80s so not sure about which sleep sacks to bring (maybe 0.5, 1.0, and 2.5 TOG to cover all bases at night if the A/C or heat doesn't work?). Space will be tight for luggage in the rental car so want to pack light. Feeling anxious and a little overwhelmed about packing.

Everything you have so far sounds perfect! Do you have a plan for showering with him or baths? The different tog sleep sacks sound smart to bring too! There will more than likely be stores where you’re going where you can buy things for your little one if you forget anything. Babies are so adaptable, and don’t try and force a schedule too much as the time zones will make that a little tough.

Sweethappeningstravel on Instagram also as a whole highlight reel on their profile with more travel tips with little ones!

Thank you so much, Hannah!! I am not on social media (except for this app and linkedIn). Will definitely check out Sweet Happenings Travel! I was planning to bring lots of wipes and bring him in the bath with me during the trip. He basically wears his solids so no idea how that will work on the go. Have a wet/dry bag. Since we will be in some remote parts of Sicily and Sardinia, I want to be pretty prepared with baby stuff.
