Baby is still breastfed. We average 10-12 feeds in 24 hours but it varies depending on if we’re in or out etc. We feed around 4 times in the night but it can be as many as 6/7. In terms of food he eats breakfast lunch and dinner and usually has a small afternoon snack a yoghurt/ some fruit etc. He drinks water regularly throughout the day we just leave his cup on the floor. As Jasmine has said technically they don’t need milk after 1. I’m continuing to breastfeed and won’t offer cows milk but even if I wasn’t breastfeeding I wouldn’t offer cows milk just give plenty of yoghurts and cheese etc which he loves anyway x
@Jasmine hey how big are his breakfast/lunch/dinner? can you please provide some examples. my LO isn’t eating much for any of his meals it’s really stressing me out
@Zo Breakfast; 1 whole weatabix with warmed cows milk with either chocolate spread, mashed banana or just plain. Lunch; 1 whole sandwich (with whatever I can find to go in it) 1 whole packet of crisps (veggie straws or quavers) loads of cubes of cheese, grapes & whole banana Dinner; (tonight for example) 2 fish fingers, 1 whole potato waffle & buttered sweetcorn Pudding; (tonight for example) 1 whole banana & 1 whole kids yoghurt pot. Or oat bar & raisins etc.
From 1 years old technically they don’t need to drink milk at all. Just as long as they are getting the calcium from yogurts & cheese etc. thinking my little boy won’t be interested in milk when switched to cows milk🤷🏼♀️ Currently at 11 months old (he’s October 27th) our schedule is 7/7.30am 5oz milk 8.30/9am breakfast 12pm lunch 4.30/4.45pm dinner 9/9.30pm 5oz milk before bed and he sleeps straight through the night until morning. He doesn’t have snacks at home, just when we are out the house He is also teething (molars!!) and haven’t seen a different in his food/milk intake xx
