Bottles

Hiya, my little one is 14 weeks old and will soon out grow her small white tommee tippee bottles, I have also been using the larger anti colic tommee tippee bottles (pic below) but I hate them! It’s a pain cleaning inside of the little anti colic thingy. Someone gifted us some Mam bottles and I’ve been trying them out the last couple of days. What does everyone prefer? Im not sure weather to scrap all of the tommee tippee bottles and convert to mam! Any cons or pros with the mam? Or does anyone else recommend a completely different brand all together?

We use Mam, the parts are annoying though, but our LO didn't get on with the teats of any other bottles.

We use mam and I like them!

We use Mam

We use the Mam glass bottles, they are super easy to clean and our LO gets on with them well

I’ve used mam and tommee tippee. Prefer mam!!

Mam ! My baby loves it , we tried all other brands and she never liked any of them , also we use mam pacifiers which she loves as well

i feel like the silicone of the tommee tippee bottles eventually gets a bit of a smell after being washed and i’ve heard the same from other people, also i find that the tommee tippee ones get really hot when you make a bottle in them and are shaking the formula, and sometimes the milk sprays out the top bc they don’t handle the pressure well, and the tomee tippee teets collapse sometimes

Mam

I'd say that if your little one is drinking well with the tommee tippee ones I'd stick with them, I tried both for my little boy and he wouldn't latch on to the mam ones, much preferred tommee tippee

Only con I’ve found with mam is heating in a bottle warmer (if you do that) it is a lot longer and a bit of a faff. Most bottles are self sterilise however if you do have a sterilser most fit both types. I’ve tried both bottles and I preferred TT for the little bottles with slow flow teats vs mam, and now we’re on mam for the bigger bottles with medium teats (as he has 6oz now) as I found in this size mam was a better feed x

@Clare yeah they take forever to warm, we got reusable silicone milk bags we warm the milk in quickly then put it in the bottles

@Mish I didn’t even know they did glass ones! Will have a look x

@Emmo ooo I’ll try that how long does it take in one of those?

@Clare I haven't recorded it, but significantly less time. We have the Tommie tippie warmer which has different settings. When using the "bottle" option it would take ages and then sometimes still not be warm because those bottles are so thick. But using the bag option is so much faster.
