Feeding every hour

My 2 MO has within the last 2/3 weeks started to want to feed every hour. I did think this was cluster feeding but because it’s gone on for so long I didn’t think it could be. He seems fulfilled after his feed but then wants to be back on within an hour. Am I just not producing enough? Do I need to top him up with formula? Anyone had anything similar?

Following as I’m having the same issue! Been referred to the infant feeding team as he’s dropped a centile 🥲

@Amira oh really? As far as I’m aware it’s not having an impact on his weight. But then again he hasn’t been weighed for 3 weeks.

I would go and get him weighed just to check! It was raised in our 6 week HV appt

It could be a few things, they could be cluster feeding, comfort eating, growing so they're more hungry it could be they aren't getting as much. If they're still gaining weight then it's probably a bit of the first 3.

My little one is the same, 2 months yesterday, she’s doing this during that day and the night, she had her jabs yesterday and 8 week check and she’s gone up 3 percentile (now 5% she’s always been small) and the doctor said it’s just a growth spurt with the feeding. She recommended at night to move the bassinet further away from me so she can’t smell the milk but I do not have the heart for that! Hence continuing with this every hour feeding 😭😅
