Formula feeding + colostrum
Hiya - a bit confused, I am planning on formula feeding my baby from the start - but am I still able to get colostrum out or would this encourage more milk to come in?

You just stop breastfeeding or stop expressing. It can take up to 10 days i think. I googled it for myself and NHS said it can take up to 10 days. For me my boobs felt much better alot sooner but you just gotta wait it out. Midwives said the same x
But i recommend asking your midwife so you get professional advice 😊

I did this. Started expressing colostrum and breastfed first 2 days so he could get the colostrum and then went on to formula. Your milk will still come in 3 to 4 days after birth but my boobs went back to normal a week after my milk came in
