@Francesca ok great this makes me feel better cuz I've been feeling pressured to offer the milk before solids but I feel like that's part of the problem, he wants to just reject the milk so he can get to the solids. But I think if I just space out solids and bottles it would make my life way easier. My LO eats a lot of solids but he's also a boy and a lot bigger. He was like 18 lbs at his 6 mo. Anyway, he sits and eats breakfast with his sister but I've been pressuring myself to get a bottle in there 1st... which means he's either eating later when no one else is eating, or I'm making his sister wait to eat breakfast later. So skipping the morning bottle might just be the answer for me too 🙏 If ur girl is growing like she's supposed to, don't worry! My Lil guy has his 9 month check up next week so I guess I'll see about that too
Yes definitely that could be the reason why he doesn’t want the milk. Seeing everyone eating actual food! 😂 I want to start teaching her how to use a cup and just make one along her breakfast. Maybe that could be the key. Overall she is happy and healthy so that’s the important.
Following! My daughter formula intake decreased significantly too! For now, I do breakfast solids. I offer her milk but she struggles to drink 3/4oz. After morning nap I offer her milk and if it’s a good day she takes 6oz. Lunch is solid and I make sure she drinks water. If she sleeps after lunch, when she wakes up I offer her bottle. I make 8oz and we juggle through the afternoon. Late afternoon I offer fruit/snacks. Dinner is solids per schedule but if she is very tired or fussy I offer her some milk. When I go to sleep I give her the last bottle of the day I make 8oz she takes 6oz or 7. 9 months checkup she was 18.4lbs. Pediatrician is happy but I always worry she is not taking enough - she eats solids but not huge portions -
