Babies are supposed to sleep near there moms for the first year. Same room. That's why we feel that way.. it's instinct so that we keep them alive. Now if you've gotta get things done, that's fine.. you'll be back as soon as you can. Use a monitor and check often.
If you just want to be near her that is normal, but if you are constantly worried she is going to stop breathing or something bad is going to happen that could be a touch of PPA, it’s normal to worry about it a little as a mom but if you can’t function without being directly by her side I would ask your doctor about it:)
This is normal in my opinion. It’s technically like separation anxiety with your little one and honestly it being a good thing comes down to how you look at it. You have an attachment to your baby and for some it’s stronger than others. For me, I’m still practicing how to be ok when I don’t physically see her because otherwise it’s hard for me to move around or do anything. In the long run you want to practice that separation and being ok with it especially for sleeping. You can always do monitors and camera to help you relax when you’re not in the room.
