I’m exclusively breast feeding, but my mom supplemented formula for me when she went back to work (this was 30 years ago and the pumps physically hurt her so she couldn’t effectively pump). I was apparently on a combo of breast milk and formula from 4-11 months with no issues. Sorry I don’t have recent experience, but you’re doing your best and your baby is fed - that’s what matters!
Yes I started supplementing when he was 2.5 months because this is my 3rd child i breastfed . So he's in daycare now he drinks the formula . I give him Enfamil reguline. You really just have to take some time to see which formula you'll like and want to try . I picked that one because WIC pays for it and that was the one his tummy took to. You'll feel mommy regret for sure but you'll be happy to see your baby full.
@Rosechelle thanks! I will look into that. There are sooo many formulas to choose from 😭
@Elyssa thanks girl!! I celebrate every month I can breast feed but I just want my baby to be happy and growing! It definitely is a mental strain
@Ona yeah I have some formula that I received on the mail so I’ll probably try those. I just hope it doesn’t mess with her tummy 😭
You should celebrate the achievement!! Breast feeding can be so hard and some people have a lot less support/resources than others. Not to mention our bodies are all different! You’re doing great mama
I switched especially going back to work my breast milk in the bottle wasn’t satisfying her so I started using earths best formula and it helps so much she slept for like 3 hrs after. So that’s what I do now I breastfeed on off days and formula plus any breast milk I have saved on work days
