@Pav if I need I will! It is going to be hard because exercise helps me mentally…especially after my stressful job it’s a way to feel better.
Walks with a good podcast or book relaxing too. Try it out
The last thing you want to do is rupture anything so I would just lay off the exercise for a few weeks. You can pick it up again (in moderation) when you are hopefully pregnant and progressing with your pregnancy :) Also you mention a stressful job think about managing this aspect. It’s hard but so much of a successful transfer is from being relaxed.😎
@Francesca yeah I know! I work for nhs… short of staff etc… I can’t do a lot!

@Cote I was the same as you, really worried about how I would cope not being able to do regular exercise for my mind set/routine, I’d never just stopped exercising before! My nurse actually said I could carry on with classes/running until cycle day 4 of injections as ovaries are not enlarged for the first few days but after that it was strictly walking only which I was dreading but having a good podcast/audio book did help and it’s remembering it’s only temporary
Hi, I would say don't over think it. I was very strict with my first round and didn't get pregnant. 2nd round I did everything that I wanted reasonably and got pregnant. Good luck. X
I’m the same way - I took a look at what my clinic recommended and what evidence based recommendations were. For me, I wanted to do everything I could to contribute to success. I laid off my normal exercise routine completely, instead choosing a daily walk and a daily yoga practice throughout my entire retrieval. I did no running or strength training between my stim and retrieval. Did a few days of my normal routine before starting my transfer cycle, then returned to walking and yoga until my positive pregnancy test. It’s hard to say whether one thing really impacts the whole process, but I’d follow the recommendation of low and slow exercise during this process!

I would normally go to the gym 3 times a week, swim and walk a lot. However whilst harvesting my eggs (I've had 2 egg collections now) I was very bloated and uncomfortable, and it was impossible to do anything but light walking. I took the time to rest my body whilst it focused on growing the follicles. I know it can be hard to step back from routine, but it is all for a good cause.
Hiya for stims phase for egg collection it’s walking only allowed. For the sake of a few wks take a break from the workouts it’s not worth the risk
