I’m 99% sure it’s an Ireland thing and has been for years and not for anywhere else
Hey! Yeah, there’s usually an extra child benefit payment in November. It’s often a double payment to help out during the holiday season. You might want to check with your local benefits office or their website for the most accurate info. Hope that helps! 😊
I’m really confused by people saying there’s a one off double payment :/ because honestly I’ve never ever experienced that in the almost 12 years of claiming child benefit Over the year there will always be one month you will see 2 payments - not because they pay double in November but because child benefit is paid every 4 weeks so we get 13 over the year so one month will be 2 but it isn’t November for everyone Whereas the double payment in Ireland is an extra double payment which I’m 99% sure isn’t offered across England Scotland and wales
Yes, the UK government is planning to pay a one-off double payment of Child Benefit to each child in November 2024. This is part of a cost of living package to help ease the pressures of inflation and the cost of living. Other measures include increases to the fuel allowance, disability grant, and working family payment Just googled that x
