Are you okay? This happened to me two weeks ago and I didn't see it either. My daughter hit a wooden floor and not carpet. Make sure she is responding to you okay and that she isn't vomiting. If she starts vomiting that's a sign of head injury, I'd take her to be seen by the GP or urgent care for monitoring for a couple hours. My little one was absolutely fine after, it happens. Won't be the last time. The Doctor told me, as she's getting more mobile it can happen more. If in any doubt at all, take her to be seen just to be safe. My worry was how she would be at night time, if we're both asleep I wouldn't be able to see or keep an eye on her. Did she hit her head, if you can see a mark? An outward mark is a good sign, like a bump or bruise, but if you can't see a mark it could be internal. I don't want to worry you, just the advice I was given.
As above, check she’s okay in herself, no bumps, lumps, grazes or bleeding, they are okay to go to sleep but just watch them! We’ve all been there - the mum guilt is horrendous, the accident always looks and sounds worse than it is! These things will happen 🩷
My baby fell out of her pram when she was 4 months and fell right on her head, she cried for like a minute and then she was back to laughing and smiling again, like these other ladies have said check for bumps and things also make sure she hasn’t vomited and that she’s not in and out of consciousness. I did take my baby to a and e only because she was so little but we were there for like 20 minutes they checked her over straight away and she was absolutely fine x
Personally I wouldn’t hide it from your husband, accidents happen, there will be a time he’s there when little one bumps themselves. My boy did it when he was nearly two, I literally turn to grab a new nappy then he got up moved and fell, he cried for couple of minutes, later that day he was playing weird, took him to A&E and he’d fractured his collar bone. X
Make sure she about to stay awake ok and not overly drowsy, any bumps are ok as long as they have lump and not an indent. Dw these things happen!
