Tough

Having a very low day today Friends around me who all have had babies had their husbands home for a minimum of 2 months some even 6 months I barely had my husband home for 2 weeks and even then he works 10 hours a day and weekends also Feel very sad as haven’t met anyone else in my position and feel like everyone’s husband works from home and had 6 months paternity

My partner had 2 weeks paternity and works 10 hour days! I’m exhausted 😴

2 weeks paternity here too. And with 2 under 2! He's out the house 6-6 so totally feel you. But very few of my friends partners had more than 2 weeks and if they did it was shared leave so was taken off the maternity leave time.

@Sophie how do you manage? I had an awful c section and still have body pain

I did at the beginning but now I don’t let it consume my energy. I’m going back to work in January and my partner is having 3 months off as shared parental leave.

@anon that’s how I was My recovery was delayed because I was on my own after 2 weeks 😢

Husband went back after 2 weeks, no friends or family either so I totally understand. Try and just take each day at a time. I know that's easier said than done x

My partner had 1 week paid paternity leave and 1 week unpaid leave. He’s a police officer. Only saving grace is he doesn’t work more than 4 days at a time otherwise I’d lose the plot
