Covid and flu jabs

I have a dodgy heart, so I always get the Covid jab and flu jab every year. I’ve been invited for it this year but I’ve declined it at the moment just because I’m only seven weeks and six days pregnant. Just wondering if anyone else has had the jabs early in pregnancy? And if so, how did it go? Thanks

I don’t know about the Covid one but they do really recommend the flu jab as it can be dangerous for pregnant women x

I will get the flu like I did last time but I won’t be getting the covid as it just hasn’t been around long enough for me to feel comfortable taking it while pregnant. (I had it when not pregnant), also looking in to the new rsv jab as that will be offered too at some point 🙂

I got the flu jab with my first when I was about 10 weeks x

I had the flu jab and covid jab when pregnant with my first and they were quite sure it was safe. There hasn’t been any reported side effects on unborn babies have there?

Yes! I had flu jabs twice while pregnant with my last once in February and then In October 😅 I decline the Covid test as they made me severely poorly (worse than when I actually got Covid)

I had covid and flu jab at about 5 weeks pregnant and it was fine, I double checked with the Dr and they said both were safe

@El thanks that’s great to know!

@Claire thanks that’s great to know, I haven’t seen anything about side effects. I’m just very cautious because it’s taken me 9 years to get to this point in pregnancy. I’ve changed a lot about my lifestyle, low tox etc. I’m probably over cautious but just wanted to ask how it’s gone for others 😊

@Megan ohh I haven’t heard about the rsv jab - I’ll have to google!
