It depends what testing the clinic wants to do ahead of starting IVF round and where you are in your monthly cycle. If it’s your first round the clinic will want to do screening bloods for you both. If you have all your ducks in a row so to speak, most clinics will be able to get going fairly quickly x
Had my consultation 13th Jan. (had already had all my testing etc) period started 24th Jan. this was a paperwork month. The Feb period was the started of the cycle / started take meds. Had my egg retrieval March 7th. I did a short protocol.
I was referred to the fertility clinic in December 2023 and had my first round of ivf in May 2024
It depends what state or country your in. If you have private health insurance etc. All tje pre blood and screen tests done before hand it may take 1-3 months.
I’m in the us. IVF was recommended and additional blood work was done mid/end of July. I don’t remember when we did consent paper work. Retrieval was done October 27 Fet done January 3. It could have been done earlier but the lab closes for the holidays.
After getting all pre-labs I had my IVF consultation on 8/30/23 Retrieval 10/11/23 FET 12/14/24 Sweet boy born 4 weeks early 08/01/24🩵 We paid out of pocket so we didn't deal with insurance at all.
Paying private, we had our consultation in September, all the tests/blood work and then signing papers October and started in November x
I want to know too because I’m starting consultation on Wednesday
