Copper Coil

Hey! Does anyone here have experience with the copper coil.. good or bad. I am looking at my options for contraception and struggling to decide. I've been on the pill for 15 years, and I would prefer not to go back on. Good or bad feedback of the coil welcome.

I loved the copper coil! Getting my new one fitted in 2 weeks time 🙂

I'm new to the copper coil after years of the pill, wanted something hormone free! It was a bit uncomfortable to be fitted but over quickly, I've had it in around a month now and it's been fine. Brilliant to have contraception and not the awful changes in mood I was getting with the pill x

I've read that you have to self check a few times that the coil is still in place - in the 1st month & after periods?. Also, again, I've read about bleeding in-between periods.

Yeah you do, they showed me the coil before they fitted it so I would know what I was feeling for. I only bled a small amount after it was put in and yet to have a period yet, but still breastfeeding x
