Missing period during IVF

Hi, I had my eggs out on sept11th, but couldn’t have the embryos back in till my next period after my September one (so end of oct) as they need to scan me cos of my thin womb lining My period now hasn’t arrived & I can’t get my embryos in till it does. I have been stressed & may have over done the gym & not eating too much But I have no idea. I’m broken, anyone had this or advice. Thank you, first time using the app 💜

It's normal for your period to come late after egg retrieval. I had a bleeding after a failed fresh transfer but my next (actual) period took 40 days! I wouldn't worry just yet, it can be off for a couple of months before it goes back to normal!

@Danielle that's basically the withdrawal bleeding from all the meds, then you'll have your period (determined by your own hormones) and that can be very delayed while your body readjusts!

This worried me too as I wasn't warned about a delay after my egg retrieval. My period came on cycle day 39. As @Vit said, the body needs time to readjust after all the hormones. I know there is so much waiting in this process and it's really hard but it will come.

P.S. if you're worried that it hasn't come after some time, contact your clinic and they can advise further, maybe prescribe something to help it arrive

I had such a long cycle after egg retrieval, I think like 50 days and my period is usually regular
