You time

Hi Mamas, I'm struggling a lot at the minute with low mood. I love my little girl with all of my heart and I'm struggling with having no time to myself. I'm a stay at home mum and I wouldn't want it any other way, but even the little things like having a shower, going to the toilet are so rushed and I'm starting to feel burnt out. If you're able to, what type of things do you do to have time to yourself? I'm struggling as I don't feel like I really have any hobbies and the gym just isn't enjoyable for me.

I’m on the same boat except I’m a single mum and I work 😩 I feel like I haven’t had a proper shower in a year and I look so old… I don’t look after my hair or follow any skincare routine anymore (I don’t even have time to wash my face at night!). I’m beginning to really struggle… I need some time for self care 😢 but my priorities are always my boy or the house. Following to see if I get some tips…

Sorry you’re struggling! Can you shower when your partner is home in the evenings? To use the toilet - use the high chair. Hobby ideas - podcast / audiobooks whilst on walks. Home workouts. Go to baby/toddler groups daily. Not having as many hobbies or time alone is just a normal part of motherhood so acceptance is key for me personally. What do you think? :)

Another thing - structure your day like you would if you are working. Being a Sahm is work! Plan times for rest - during naps and keep busy during wake windows. I go out with my daughter twice a day.
