Im due 22nd Feb and start maternity at 21 Feb x
I’m planning on working up til my due date
I’m actually on maternity leave but my new one starts the 6th January I’m due 4th February.
Thank you for replying 😊 is anyone taking annual leave or going straight on mat leave
I’m also due end of Feb. My plan is to work up until (maybe a week before). I’ll save my annual leave for returning I think! 😊
@Megan I was going to go on annual leave from the 17th then start my mat leave on the 24th x
@Keeley I took three weeks annual leave with my first. I’m basically on maternity back to back 😅 so I’m technically coming off maternity 21st November to use my holiday up until the 6th January. If I hadn’t got pregnant again I would have been returning to work the 6th January ☺️
@Keeley it sounds like we have very similar due dates!xx
@Siobhan oh I understand now lol 😂
@Megan I think we do ☺️☺️ how long will you be off for
Due date is 24th Feb, I’m going to start my mat leave the week before (17th) but also taking some annual leave I have left so I will hopefully finish on 4th Feb :))
@Ewa thank you. due the 25th 😊. How long are you having off x
@Keeley about 10 months, I’d like to take a year but can’t afford it :( what about you?
@Ewa me too I’ll be going back January 2026 then use my annual leave for help out with childcare

@Keeley someone told me it’s time to look at nurseries now and get the little one on a waiting list! 😧 I haven’t done it yet but I think I will contact one next week just to check if this is true 🫨
Aiming for end of January then c section 7th haha.. want to max out mat leave with baby and my work are pretty good with me, they've been so good.
@Ewa 100% I put my baby on waiting list back in June/July haha! My first I was too late putting him on waiting lists 😩
@Ewa oh wow I didn’t know that thanks for letting me know 😊 I want the baby to go to child minders I’ll still have a look x
I'm 22nd Feb and starting maternity 3rd Feb but have annual leave to use so finish up after new year :) giving me plenty of time to nest and to soothe my aches and pains of pgp 😅 xx
A week before, time to get any last bits sorted and rest. Also spend some quality time with my first before baby here.
I’m due on the 27th and just planning to work as close to that as possible. I’m using a few days annual leave to make the last weeks 3/4 day weeks. Planning to be off till January 2025 xx
@Sarah I’m due 25th and planning the same. Then going back January 2026 x
I’m due on 1st Feb, my mat leave starts a week before and I have 2 weeks annual leave so I’ll have 3 weeks off before due date.
I’m due 24th Feb and starting my maternity leave from 24th Feb (you can’t take it later than your due date and and if baby is born earlier than it has to moved to start from that date). I want to maximise the 12 months off with baby and the period I get paid mat pay. Also did this last time & my girl was 15 days overdue! So was great that I had started it at the latest day possible. However last time and this time, I will also take some of my annual leave before the due date/mat leave. So looking to finish up 7th Feb, be on annual leave 10th-21st and the mat leave from 24th. If baby comes early say 17th, mat leave would move to that date and I’d just get the week of annual leave I was going to take back to use at the end of maternity.
I’m due 14th feb and I’m gonna take some annual leave then start maternity 1st week of feb
I’m due 5th of February! Wanted to use 3 weeks annual leave from w/c 23rd of December and then start my maternity leave but I’ve been refused the holidays due to the Christmas period 😬😬 xxx
I’m due 9th of Feb so taking maternity from the 24th of Jan - I work from home though so two weeks should be enough for me!
Due Feb 26th starting mat leave Jan 27th back Jan 12th 2026
I'm due on the 17th going to take mine from the 27th January, my first came 2 weeks early and I'm a nursery agency worker and would be so embarrassed if my water broke at a nursery I was new at

Definitely get nursery sorted from now, some have a two year waiting list! We sorted ours in October for September 2025 but one didn’t have spaces until September 2026! Due date 24th Feb but teaching has terrible maternity pay so only taking 6 months off 😢
I'm due 23rd Feb and last day of work 7th Feb. I'm also taking every Monday off from beginning of January
i’m starting mine on 22nd of jan and due the 26th of feb xx
Due 26th of feb but want to start maternity leave now 😂😅
I’m due 25th Feb. I have annual leave to use so my last working day is 5th Feb - gives me time to clean the house; last minute prep and relax. I’ll be ending my maternity leave in January, so I can access the funded hours for childcare straight away without waiting for the next term to start (little one already has a space confirmed with a childminder for 2026) - I’ll have loads of annual leave left for that year so won’t physically go into the office till Feb/ March 2026 xx
@Katie can you start your maternity leave before Christmas and add your annual leave at the end of your maternity instead of the beginning? X
@Steph so they mentioned that but they said if that also falls on Christmas period next year then I wouldn’t be able to add it on. I wonder if I can speak with anyone for advice 😬 xx
Im due 26th Feb and my last day is 31st Jan! Can’t wait 😛
Due date is the 10th Feb but I have lots of annual leave from this year I need to take so finishing up just before Christmas. My mat leave doesn’t start until the 10th Feb and I’ll be taking the full 12 months + using some accrued annual leave/BH’s so hoping I don’t have to go back until March 2026
Due 5th Feb. 2 weeks annual leave from 19th dec. Mat leave starts 5th Jan. I am also taking a day a week from this week so I can drop to 3 days a week. X
i’m due same time and going on Mat end of January x
@Katie start mat leave wc 23rd feb!!! then they can’t refuse it, and use the annual leave before going back (at end of maternity) x
@Olivia so they said I’d be due back w/c 23rd next year and then I’d not be allowed the annual leave next year as it’s Christmas week and company policy 😢 xx
I’m due 5th Feb but I’m going off 23rd December as my jobs very physical and I’ve been poorly through my pregnancy x
Due on 3rd feb, finishing work on 17th jan xx
