With my LG who’s 3 we’re starting the tradition my parents did when I was little. You have a present left by Santa on the end of your bed when you wake on Xmas morning. I’ll make sure it’s something that’s safe with no supervision in case she wakes in the early hours and sees it. Also doing a Xmas box and we have a buffet on Xmas Eve and New Year’s Eve always have. Won’t be able to include my LB this year with the food side apart from a few little bits for weaning
Ours is pretty simple. On Christmas eve after dinner we go for a drive around the village and look at all the Christmas lights! When the kids are older I will likely add, then come home for hot chocolate and a movie or something like that 😊
Not so much just for the little ones but we're starting to have a Christmas party every year starting this year so that we have some dedicated family time to both sides of the family so then it doesn't matter so much where we actually spend Christmas. My husband is not from the UK so there may be many years we aren't in England and we want to make sure we are still making memories. Then the usual just our little family will be Christmas eve boxes, family pj's and movie day and then Christmas will be morning of pressies and then whatever that year entails haha
Christmas Eve boxs and helping my mum and dad decorate their Tree on Christmas Eve listening to traditional Christmas Carols and we always get a new bauble every year for the Christmas tree
We have a 2yo so are going to start with traditions this year as he knows what's going on more, haven't done anything before now though. We're going to do Xmas box on 1st Dec with a new Xmas book and Xmas jumper, PJ's etc. definitely going to reuse things each year while my two are still not all clued up haha. Haven't decided on food or what we do on Xmas eve but am interested what others do.
