not a bad mom just tired

my absolute nightmare happened today. I locked my 1y daughter in the car with my car keys and my phone inside. I ran to the closest car. The woman looked at me and rolled up her windows. I ran to a mom with a kid. I told her what happened and she didn't think twice about helping me. We called the firefighters. They arrived just to find out that my driver door was unlocked. I feel horrible and I'm looking into buying a tool to open the car in a situation like this again. Any recommendations? I just went through hell.

Actually I would recommend getting a magnetic key holder and an extra key and keep it up under a wheel! Must easier lol

It’s so sad that people just don’t help anymore :/ I’ve thought of this multiple times on walks with my child or even at night going to the store. Would anyone help me if we were attacked or anything happened? Because SO many ppl just turn a blind eye I’m so glad your child was okay! I get being tired lol I have also done the freak out thing thinking the doors were locked but my driver door wasn’t locked I luckily figured that out but it scared the living shit out of me and I felt my stomach drop
