Urine infection

I hate a uti during the 1st trimester with my first and needed antibiotics. Shes 3.5 yrs old now and perfect!

I’ve had three UTIs so far this pregnancy (I’m extremely prone to them outside of pregnancy so it’s not a surprise) so I’ve had three lots of antibiotics, two in the first trimester and one in the second trimester. They will only prescribe antibiotics that are safe for you so I wouldn’t worry. Had my 20 week scan today and bubba is really good

The Antibiotic amoxicillin is generally safe. I had to use it for strep and pneumonia during my pregnancy’s. Always got those while pregnant. But my babies are okay and healthy. Your doctor won’t prescribe you something that isn’t A or B grade drugs for pregnancy. Don’t stress or worry too much. Having an infection is far worse for your pregnancy and body than the antibiotics. ❤️

@Charlotte a weeks course of amoxicillin capsules for my latest one, think it would have been the same for the first two as well but can’t remember exactly. So they’d likely give you the liquid again. It was explained to me that it’s less vigorous than ones prescribed when not pregnant so that’s why it was a longer course

I had it bad with my second l was in bad pain. I got again with this pregnancy I’m on antibiotics but l wasn’t given amoxicillin I was given nitrofurantoin
