Want own life✨

So, I love being a mom. But. Since i be ame a momy whole life changed. Friends pulled away, my free time gone, my social life imploded. It’s like my personality is me being a mom. And I really just want to have something for myself. Whether its a career or just having soemthing outside pf being a mom. And it’s just so much sometimes that I get really quite overwhelmed and depressed I guess. I know I have to make time for myself and try to find ways. But it’s such a overwhelming process and it’s hard to make time for it. Last 5 years has been such a stressful time and a lot happened that caused a lot of trauma. So another fun little side effects that makes everything so much harder. I’ve tried being the best parent despite all of this. So I can proudly say that I know I’m a very good mom to my little one. But that’s all I can seem to manage to do. I don’t know really why I wanted to post. I think i justed wanted to share. I think I know how I can change but it’s just finding that extra energy to do so. For now the best I can do is be there for my kid and hope I get to make that step eventually.

❤️ what age is your little one? Guessing 5 years?

Being a mum is one of the loneliest roles that no one told us . Honestly do what comes nature to you. Do not force activities or task that will exhaust you because your mum role is consistent and adding anything extra will impinge on this mandatory role . Fact : kids do grow up so this is short term , your life will resume once they are old enough to no need you constantly Try mum groups , if you do have free time then work or your own projects .

Things that helped me was joint a gym and prioritising fitness and working on strength training. This did a few things Body image rocketed I had a hobby to focus on outside of being a mum The 1-2 hours to myself to focus on me was amazing I met really beautiful people at the gym who were so supportive! Just a cheer squad for hitting new goals and constantly checking up on you so good. And showing off my progress and strength and feeling STRONG nearing lifting 100kg does wonders for the feeling of accomplishment! If gym isn’t your thing get a Pinterest account and start brainstorming fashion styles and how you want to look you can do this when little one goes to bed! Then start buying items Same with hairstyles find new hairstyles and colours! Reinvent yourself and get excited you CAN DO IT!!
