Hehe, my daughter is getting a tonie box for her birthday too! Hope he has a great birthday! Sorry I can’t recommend anything, as I haven’t experienced the tonie yet! (One thing that was recommended is to set it up/charge before the birthday) so then he can listen/play straight away. We also recorded a birthday message on the included tonie in the box for her to hear first thing.
the favourites so far for us are gruffalo and we’re going on a bear hunt but she does love the books too
