Normal check up process?

Hey Moms, I’m pregnant with my Second baby! Currently 12 weeks. I just had my first Midwife appointment about 2 weeks ago, and I was told to set my next appointment 6 weeks from that date. Is that a normal time frame for 2nd pregnancy? With my first I believe my OB had me coming in every 2 weeks.

Yes its normal, every 2 weeks is not common at all unless you're high risk. Even me being very high risk, the every 2 weeks or every week appts didn't start until I was like at least 28 weeks pregnant

Also you should have your dating scan soon, if you haven't already.. my appointment were around 9/10 week with mw, dating scan at 13 weeks and next appointment with midwife is at 16 weeks and then the 20 week scan.. can't remember timeline after that

Here it’s an appointment every 4 weeks until 28 weeks, then every 2 weeks until 36 weeks, and then every week until delivery. There’s also a few ultrasounds sprinkled in there but that’s separate from the prenatal appointments.

Every 2 weeks from the start is excessive. Every month or two in the first while is normal.
