Separation anxiety?

My 3 year old recently (the last 1.5 months) has been extremely attached to me (I am a SAHM) to the point where she won't let me sleep in the other room, she won't let me leave her with dad while I go out, she won't let anyone else babysit her. She used to be good with all this, then suddenly she's not. She goes ballistic and has meltdowns if I'm gone or if she doesn't get to stay with me. Like, the worst I've ever seen. She will lay with me in bed and stare at the ceiling if I'm napping instead of simply going into the living room with her dad and sister. Is this normal?

Have you asked you lo why she is scared to be without you?

@Yasmina Yeah, I don't think she knows either lol. I ask her and she shrugs

Awwww poor baby I would look into child psychology for your self knowledge and also ask your pediatrician , try to figure out how to make your LO feel safe when you are not there…it’s usually just a phase…maybe your LO is scared you won’t come back…she has to learn mommy will always come back and she is always safe…do you have video chat? Maybe calling her and reassurance will help
