My little girl loves stickers at the moment! They have plenty of sticker books in the works x
We paint most weeks and also do play doh
I’ve tried quite a few crayons and found most of them are too hard - toddlers can’t press hard enough to get a decent effect. These are great and my LO loves them https://www.kidly.co.uk/products/kitpas-medium-12-rice-bran-crayon-colours-multi?variant=48995759489350&om=19379&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADfDHQWt8WXIc7e8dyphaiN1AWxNb&gclid=Cj0KCQiAouG5BhDBARIsAOc08RRDzXpLazx7fppVqCQRMalJKrFgiReMsxH1F-yPuCO_kw5_JQ4t7nkaAhmmEALw_wcB
The range usually do some nice festive canvas prints and little pottery bits to paint. We’ve had the Easter and Halloween ones so far for some messy paint play and he’s loved it. For the Halloween ones he liked picking up the brush too and stamping that around which was nice to see They definitely aren’t aesthetic looking arts and crafts but they’re good fun for them! With a nice picture underneath the chaos so you know what season the chaos happened in 😂
Paint sticks are brilliant for this age along with maybe an apron, child friendly bingo dabbers to do spot printing, paint rollers and stamps, jumbo tall crayons to encourage the correct pencil grip, play dough and different accessories to roll/shape etc 🥰
My little one still tends to put everything in his mouth .. I’d love to get him into colouring and painting but how do you avoid them putting in mouth 🙈
Personally I use the age recommendation as a guide. most will say 3+ as that removes liability from them. I allow my child to use things for 3+ but I just supervise her play. Could start with things like playdough, stickers and some paints 🤍! Xx
