Postpartum hair loss 🤦🏼‍♀️😳

Hey lovely ladies!! My baby girl is now 4 months old and I am severely struggling with postpartum hair loss. My hair is the one thing I absolutely love about myself and what makes me feel confident and I am truly devastated it’s falling out at a rapid rate. Any tips for regrowth and also some reassurance on when it might eventually stop falling out (if ever) 🙏🏼🧡

When my son turned 3 months my hair started falling out in clumps start doing low maintenance hairstyles, keep your scalp oil, use a silk or satin pillowcase and just know it does stop my son just turned 8 months and my hair is honestly thicker then it was

@Hailee that’s amazing your hair is even thicker than before! I really hope mine is like that 🤞🏼

I just let it happen It stopped when my bub was around 6-7 months

No tips but just to share some reassurance, I'm 7 months postpartum and it's started growing back! My fringe looks very much like Lloyd from dumb and dumber 😂

nosheen hair oil, trust me x

Make sure you’re eating enough! Hair loss postpartum is unavoidable but it can be much much worse if you aren’t eating enough — it’s the sad way trying to lose weight postpartum can backfire.

I’ve read PP hair loss can be due to a dip in iron as hormones shift so maybe try a supplement if you aren’t already

I had PP hair loss at 4 months which lasted around 3 months. It then returned at 11 months. Turned I was deficient in iron which is common post partum. I’d recommend to get checked if it doesn’t stop, otherwise it’s very normal and there’s not much you can do to stop it as the hair that’s falling is already ‘gone’

I use silk hair scrunchies to tie my hair up loosely and only use heat when I go out (which isn't often these days). Don't wash it too often, use hair oils and be patient 😭 it's a pain for sure!!
