Yes, you can definitely ask. They might try to convince you to go through a natural labour like they try to convince women to breastfeed, but if it is something you have decided you really want to do, don't let them put you off the idea.
This is exactly how I am feeling. How many weeks are you? I’m 23 I have an appointment with my community midwife at 25 then I have one at the hospital with the midwife at 28 is 28 weeks still ok to tell them that’s how I feel xx
You can ask yes and they should refer you to speak to a doctor who will go through risks and benefits. If it's the anxiety that's causing you to lean towards c section but you still want a spontaneous delivery, I would look at some positive birth resources and hypnobirthing, if it's something you still want to aim for.
I’m really considering it as well and was going to talk to my doctor about it this week. My husband really wants me to try natural but if I plan it out then I feel more prepared and less anxious. Plus my mom lives in another state and I want to make sure she is there when my baby is born.
@Emilee I am currently 30+4, my midwives have been so slack with information, I called triage the other day and the woman was amazing, I feel a little better considering this is my first baby. I think they forget that some people are clueless especially when everything is so new. I’ve got an appointment on 5th December so I’m going to say something then, I keep having awful nightmares about labour and have been anxious for weeks, it sucks
