@Pia thank you. I’ve been unwell for almost 2 weeks and see no sign of it going by Friday!! And now my husband is unwell not sure how we’d cope!! I’ll contact them 😊
I’ve heard people having Covid, and still going ahead with sections!
As you won't be having a general anaesthetic they will likely go ahead. You could go into labour while poorly and they would still need to proceed
I was full of it when I had my section with my little girl in July 2022. It all went fine but the coughing after wards was not pleasant! Hope everything goes well!
@Joanne I’m worried about the coughing as I’m currently having coughing fits which hurt in general! 😫
I hugged a pillow when I could! 🙈 fingers crossed you might feel a bit better on Friday. I have had a cough for 5 weeks now. Horrible stuff going round
@Joanne I hope so. It’s been 2 weeks so far and 1 course of antibiotics and no sign of improving. I also worry baby will catch it too 😫
I had a course of antibiotics too and nothing improved! Horrible I know but unavoidable. My little one never caught anything from me at first, but she had covid at 13 weeks old 😣😣 and many illnesses since! She goes nursery now at 2 and she’s ill every 2 weeks, currently coughing whilst trying to sleep bless her
Coughing or even laughing in the slightest is soooooooooooo PAINFUL - I’m even scared for my partner to go shops and catch a cold or I catch a cold because the thought of a constant cough is scary - even when I’m doped up on medication it feels like I’m being ripped and that’s from drinking to fast and maybe choking on a drink 🥲🥲
And you wouldn’t want baby to catch anything as they are so little 🥲 definitely bring it up and have a consultation about the pros and cons with your health advisor x
To my understanding, as long as there are no complications with baby. They would usually put off doing surgery when you're unwell and give you a new date, tell them and they'll be able to advise you further... I wouldn't leave it too late to tell them. I hope you both feel better soon x
