Not sure if this is an option for you and I’m not trying to be a wise guy but hand baby off to husband for burps at first. The first few weeks after my section my husband did the burping and I think it really helped their bonding (and ours). It made him feel like he was part of the feeding process and I think it helped baby understand that too. Now that we have started bottles from time to time to give me a break she has had no trouble when Dad feeds her and I think this is part of the reason why.
@Anna this! If you just push on their back a little so their spine is straight the air will come right out!!
I was wondering the same thing I have a 3w old who I have the hardest time burping I’ve tried all ideas I knew
1. Hold them up in the air under their arms and it stretches their legs and tummy out and can get air out 2. Put hand under their chin and other hand holding their bum and then circle their bum around which moves their stomach and gets air out 3. Sit baby on your lap and lean them forward, pat and rub back, lean them back to lieing and then back upright again Just some ways that worked for me xx
I sit mine LO on my knee and bounce my heel up and down so it jiggles the air out of him.
Putting them on your k ess and always move them in a circular motion, pat the back or put baby on your chest and just pat
Popping the baby in a sitting position in front of you and making them sit straight used to help me get the stubborn burps out! And if u rock them side to side whilst sat straight that helps too
