What kind of pad are you supposed to wear if you are trying to see if your waters have gone?

I’ve been feeling a lot of wetness down there but remember that a midwife once said don’t wear a regular sanitary pad because it’s harder for them to determine if it’s your waters or not?

I actually went to the hospital with the discreet incontinence knickers on and put a maternity pad inside purely because I kept soaking through when I moved and my waters would leak. As I was seen in triage, when I went to give the nurse the maternity pad I had a huge gush so she didn’t bother testing the pad in the end as she could visibly see it was my waters xx

@Aimee hi lovely, thank you I think I’m going to do the same. Can’t stop leaking 😬

Any pad, you can tell if it’s waters. If there’s any uncertainty they can do a speculum to visualise any fluid coming away x

They told me the thicker the better x
