So sorry you are going through this, have you reach out to any local charities? My mum got us a hamper of food from a charity a few Christmas when I was younger. We got so lost in what Christmas means sometimes with gifts and decor but at the end of the day it’s about being with the ones you love, sometimes the experiences mean more to children than gifts ever could, are there any Christmas events happening? Could you do a craft like paint or draw a Christmas tree? You are doing everything you can to give your girl the best life you can this is one Christmas of many to come give yourself some grace ❤️❤️
They have toys for tots or something similar in most little towns for single moms, make a post on your Facebook community page asking if anyone has a tree they're giving away more than likely you'll get a few responses from good hearted people. And plus we still got a whole month before Christmas girl you got this
Where are you located? I got a small but good Christmas Tree that I had got last year that you can have, I can even pay for the shipping for you

Deadline is tomorrow so if you can get your letter out today
For a start - pray 🙏 Our 1st Christmas after we were homeless I had nothing & couldn't afford a tree either. I prayed for one, & less than a week later, someone was giving one away on fb marketplace - lights, decorations, everything. I still use it actually! Im not sure where you are, but there are charities/organisations that help, for us that year it was the Salvation Army, Surestart & Homestart (my daughter went to both those 2 at the time but is the same age as yours now)..they give you all brand new toys, vouchers etc. If you pm me I could do a bit of homework & find out what help would be available in your area? Aside from the charities, do you have the likes of Clearpay or Klarna? I'd be lost without them. I haven't a thing in atm either, and have a 13yo son too. Teens are very expensive 🙄 So I'll be relying on those apps tbh..they split a purchase into like 4 every 2wks. So say you order £200 worth of stuff on your next payday..you pay £50 when you order, and then £50 every 2 wks...
...my credit rating wasn't good when I got my Clearpay btw. I think they just verify your identity/address. Other worst case scenario options would be catalogues - any JD Williams companies are good for bad/low credit. SimplyBe, HomeEssentials, AmbroseWilson, Marisota. They all sell toys & each gave me a small limit from £80-250. I'm not advising to get into loads of debt u can't pay btw. I think it's horrible what Christmas has become..people forget the Reason for the season! But this is what I've done when desperate. Oh and selling stuff on Vinted too! I'm selling our old clothes, and reselling things that I've bought for £. We have 5wks..don't let the panic paralyse u mama. U can do this..we always do somehow 💪💖xx
I don’t have anything spare to my name. I’ve been behind on bills and rent getting back on my feet. I’m already in an immense amount of debt, I doubt I’d even get accepted for any of those but thank you for your advice!! All of you ♥️ I’m going to keep looking on Facebook to see if anyone has a spare tree going. I don’t know about the presents, I just don’t want her to wake up without anything as she’s been so good thinking Santa is watching. I don’t want her to think she’s been a bad girl when she wakes up to nothing. I have one more pay before Xmas and it’s already spoken for 😭😭😭😭 I don’t get any extra help. I know I should have started earlier on in the year but I’ve just had so much to deal with I’ve not even given it a second thought!!!
Are you in the US?
Hey I'm sorry your going through this I remember having a similar situation with my stepchildren. We had £5 for each child and went to poundland to get 5 toys each for them. I couldn't stop crying If you are in the UK try https://www.freecycle.org/ you might find something on there Wishing you all the best ❤️
Do you have Facebook? Take a look on Marketplace and search to see whether there are any Freegle / reuse groups local to you. We have a great reuse group in our area where people post stuff to give away for free, including things like Christmas trees and toys 😊
