Things to do

What type of things do people do to keep their babies entertained? I’m feeling a bit deflated as I feel like we do the same things and it’s hard coming up with new things sometimes

We go outside literally every single day for at least half the day. He just loves having a stomp about around the woods, parks, town, the seaside, farms, national trusts etc. Also i go to friends houses a lot as he thinks all their toys are so much better than his 😂

Puddle hopping! His new fav thing.

@Bex ,Is that a puddle suit.Is that quite thick .How many layers does he wear under that ?

@Veena It is rather thick yeah, it’s from mountain warehouse. He just has leggings and a top on under it. We have 5 diff ones all diff thicknesses. Some waterproof some not xx

At home - baking/cooking, practicing skills like stacking etc, singing nursery rhymes and learning words, reading. Then I give him his quiet time if he’ll play independently Indoors - we still do baby class, moving onto toddler class in Jan one day a week. Going to the library that also has a kids section with lots of lovely toys. I haven’t done this yet but I’m going to do kids cinema when he’s maybe 18 months my nephew of the same age loved it. Play centres (play factore in Trafford centre, heads over heels in chorlton). Sometimes we go for coffee in our local pub which also has a soft play and then he does some colouring Outdoors - lots of parks, or just local walk. We just got an RHS membership xx

@Luba ahhh you must live near me! X

@Bex what little shoes are those? Perfect for puddles! I was going to get my little girl her first pair of wellies but these look better x

@CloeI live near Boothstown! Theres also some lovely free baby classes offered by our local family hub that’s always worth checking out x

@Luba ahhh yeah I’m in worsley! How do I check? X

@Janine theyre actually not that great! They’re from amazon, I think i typed in waterproof boots for toddlers or something. He can walk super easily in them and they’re the easiest shoe to put on a wiggly child, but they’re deffo not waterproof, id say water resistant ahaha. After a while his feet do get wet. We have wellies for him too but he struggles to walk in them so we’re gradually working on it. xxx
