I had my daughter two years ago. They were amazing with us. I'm classed as high risk due to health reasons and we were treated like royalty. They were so hands on and great at making me feel relaxed and comfortable through the whole experience.
I was induced in July at 41+3 due to gestational hypertension. I wasn't overly enthusiastic about the possibility of an induction but followed medical advice. Staff were fab and explained things along the way and answered all the questions. My Waters broke late at night when they were short staffed and still felt supported and transferred to the maternity unit pretty quickly. The process can be lengthy and wards quite busy with people coming and going and women in early labour so arm yourself with entertainment, snacks and go for walks when you can. I spent a lot of time in heath park 🤣. I ended up with a failed induction leading to a semi urgent c section. It's all out of your hands so focus on mindset going in and ask all the questions!!
Literally just had my baby last night, my induction wasn’t super successful but that’s because me and baba weren’t 100% ready but honestly the midwives are all absolute angels here, i’ve been in since Tuesday and every single one of them has been amazing🤞🏼
